Following a summer hiatus, and a very stimulating annual conference in Rome, we are ready to reconvene the UK Chapter of the Centesimus Annus Foundation.<\/p>\n
The theme for this academic year will be\u00a0CREATION & THE ENVIRONMENT.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Please find attached a provisional<\/strong> programme<\/strong><\/a>, which will be updated in due course.<\/p>\n As a general rule, and unless noted otherwise, we will convene\u00a0IN PERSON<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0at Amigo Hall, St George’s Cathedral Southwark, on the\u00a0FIRST TUESDAY of every month, from 1800-1930hrs<\/u><\/strong>. Please make a note in your diaries.<\/p>\n Zoom details will be available for those who are self-isolating, abroad or based elsewhere in the U.K.<\/p>\n Attendance in person is very much appreciated for those who can.<\/p>\n Please RSVP to this address only<\/u><\/strong>, avoiding the ‘reply to all’ tab.<\/p>\n Our first meeting will be held next\u00a0Tuesday, 9th November<\/u><\/strong>, same location and times as above.<\/p>\n The Cathedral and the Amigo Hall main entrances are in\u00a0Lambeth Road<\/strong>, (SE1 6HR).\u00a0 The Cathedral is a short walk from Lambeth North Underground Station (Bakerloo Line), and London Waterloo, Southwark and Elephant & Castle stations are also nearby and within 10-15 minutes walk. Edmund Waldstein\u00a0<\/strong>will be our speaker next Tuesday and address us via videoconference, for an\u00a0Introduction to the Theology of Creation.<\/strong>\u00a0Following his introductory remarks, the floor will open for a general discussion, including practical considerations.<\/p>\n Fr Edmund Waldstein is a Cistercian monk at\u00a0Stift Heiligenkreuz,<\/em>\u00a0an ancient abbey outside Vienna, Austria. A doctor in Theology, he is adjunct lecturer in moral theology at the Abbey\u2019s major seminary, and parish priest of Gaaden and Sulz in Austria. He studied at Thomas Aquinas College in California, at Heiligenkreuz, and at the University of Vienna.
