The document, consisting of 121 paragraphs, was signed on October 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The title Dilexi te (I have loved you) is drawn from the Book of Revelation (Rev 3:9). The cry of the most vulnerable challenges everyone, yet the responses remain inadequate in the face of growing inequality. The exhortation calls us to recognize in the faces of the poor \u201cthe suffering of the innocent\u201d.
