In the first session of ‘On Good Governance’, organised by the Centre for Ignatian Spirituality and\u00a0Pietre\u00a0Vive, Prof. Edward Warrington, from the Department of Public Policy, will be approaching the theme of the Common Good from the perspective of political science.Then, he will draw the discussion toward the spiritual and theological perspectives on the\u00a0common good, through the Ignatian Spirituality perspective.<\/p>\n
Spirituality and Biblical Roots of the Common Good In the second session of ‘On Good Governance’, organised by the Centre for Ignatian Spirituality and\u00a0Pietre\u00a0Vive, Dr. Jean-Paul De Lucca, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Malta, will discuss the relation between ethics and politics in early Renaissance, as captured in Lorenzetti’s imagery.<\/p>\n Political Philosophy of the Common Good The third session of ‘On Good Governance’, organised by the Centre for Ignatian Spirituality and\u00a0Pietre\u00a0Vive, will see Dr. Nadia Delicata, Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Theology, at the University of Malta, discussing the Christian vision of the city.\u00a0She will elaborate on the virtues for the Common Good.<\/p>\n The Virtues for the Common Good In the last session of ‘On Good Governance’, organised by the Centre for Ignatian Spirituality and\u00a0Pietre\u00a0Vive, Giulia Privitelli, an art historian and a member of the\u00a0Pietre\u00a0Vive\u00a0team, will illustrate the artistic elements of the Lorenzetti Frescoes, leading to a spiritual reflection using the 14th century images.<\/p>\n The Art of Good Governance Dear Colleagues, we were asked to circulate the details of an upcoming seminar, being organised by the Centre for Ignatian Spirituality, at the University Chaplaincy.\u00a0Admission is free.
